Our History
ST Security Guards PTY LTD was founded by our visionary director, Mr Sibusiso Tembe, a proud South African citizen with experience in the security sector itself as well as other industries where he worked over the years, beyond that he also has an entrepreneurial track record across multiple critical sectors. Having successfully established operations within the local transport and commercial supply industries, he recognized a profound structural gap in how various security services are delivered on the ground. His direct background as an active security professional, combined with the experiences of his close family and friends who have served in the industry for decades, gave him a firsthand, authentic understanding of the private security landscape. This years-long observation revealed that while the country’s security needs are massive, many providers lose sight of absolute reliability, transparent operations, and client-focused accountability.
Instead of accepting these industry shortcomings, the founding director Mr Sibusiso Tembe took it upon himself to build a resilient, fully compliant private security agency that corrects these vulnerabilities. He realized that South African enterprises exist in completely different classes—ranging from newly registered startups and medium-sized businesses to large corporate entities and massive public sectors. However, his core philosophy is that security can never be compromised based on the size of a client’s budget. No business can afford to risk its assets, its people, or its continuity simply because it is a growing enterprise.
Driven by Mr Tembe’s experiences and understanding of South African business, ST Security Guards Pty Ltd was started to deliver uncompromised protection that remains highly accessible.
